Multi-agency training
Multi agency training
To support effective safeguarding arrangements across Salford, the SSAB is committed to providing multi-agency safeguarding training.
We have a training strategy which has been agreed by the board and sets out our priorities. We also have a competency framework which sets out training requirements for staff working in different roles and should help you to ensure that staff within your organisation receive the appropriate level of training.
Covid-19
Due to the current pandemic, we are not currently delivering any face to face training. We are currently planning alternative training for our priority areas such as domestic abuse, mental capacity act, self neglect and others so please do check this page regularly for updates.
NEW - 7 Minute Briefing
We have produced a 7 Minute Briefing following the successful prosecution of 2 care home workers who abused several residents in a Salford Care Home, who they were supposed to be caring for. The briefing explains more about prosecutions under the Mental Capacity Act and the importance of whistleblowing.
Domestic Abuse Training Materials
We have produced some training slides, a fact sheet and a 7 minute briefing on domestic abuse which you can access using the links below. If you have any queries, please contact SSABTraining@salford.gov.uk
